Courtney Elizabeth Mauk received her MFA from Columbia University and teaches writing at College of Staten Island and Eugene Lang College.  Her work has appeared in The Literary Review, Forge Journal, PANK, Word Riot, Joyland, BrooklynTheBorough, and the anthology Gravity Fiction, which was named a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Award for independently published books.  Her short stories “Hungerford Bridge” and “Shadowland” were nominated for the 2011 Pushcart Prize.  She is at work on a novel, Incendia.
